Interior Designer Laurence Carr to Lead Webinar on Sustainability, Circular Economy

Laurence Carr, owner of an interior design and an outspoken advocate of the circular economy as it relates to the furniture industry, will conduct a webinar Oct. 12 that describes the growing interest in sustainability and circularity that was evident at the recent Maison & Objet show in Paris.
The event, sponsored by the Sustainable Furnishings Council and the International Furnishings and Design Association, begins at 12 noon Eastern time.
In addition to her recap of Maison & Objet, Carr will discuss how manufacturers, home furnishing, lighting, and other emerging entrepreneurs are contributing to the circular economy.
Carr is founder and CEO interior design firm, Laurence Carr Inc. and also the creator, executive producer, and host of Chez Laurence, a unique EarthxTV original series that showcases the urgent need for and innovation toward circularity, sustainability, and healthy materials in the design and furnishing industries.
As an expert on regenerative approaches to designing interiors and products, Laurence’s work is featured in international publications and media. She is an Ambassador for the Sustainable Furnishings Council and regularly participates in speaking engagements and podcasts for international trade organizations to promote the adoption of circular economy practices in the industry.
