ISFD Names Pinnacle Award Finalists; Winners to be Revealed at Oct. 24 Gala

The International Society of Furniture Designers has unveiled the finalists for the 2022 Pinnacle Awards, which will be handed out Oct. 24 during next month’s High Point Market.

The Pinnacles, regarded as the furniture industry’s most prestigious design awards, recognize design excellence in more than 20 categories. This year, a record 210 entries were received.

“This year’s record number entries shows that the industry believes in the power of good design, the value of professional designers and the increased revenue that the Pinnacle-awarded products add,” said John Conrad, ISFD executive director. “This all makes receiving a highly competitive Pinnacle Award even a greater honor.”

The 2022 finalists, all professional product and furniture designers along with undergraduate design students, envision and create the products that ultimately become some of the most sought-after home furnishings items around the world. Conrad said their works are produced and marketed by companies large and small, but with a common denominator—to proudly illustrate that artistry, craft, and innovation are important and saleable to the consumer marketplace.

In some cases, he said, winning a Pinnacle Award has helped launch design careers and elevated manufacturers to new levels of recognition. A list of all the finalists along with images of their products can be found here: 2022 Pinnacle Awards finalists.

The awards gala will take place Oct. 24 at High Point University’s Qubein Arena and Conference Center. Tickets are available by visiting the Pinnacle Awards Gala website.

The 2022 Pinnacle Awards sponsors are: Continental Hardware, Elements Studios, Furniture Design Studios, Furniture Today, High Point Market Authority, International Market Centers, Leggett & Platt, and Sherwin-Williams. In addition, Conrad also praised High Point University and the International Textile Alliance (ITA) for their continued support.
