Mattress Mack Launches Sports Website; Says Sports Betting Site Coming Soon

Gallery Furniture owner Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale, who has been prominent on the Houston sports scene for many years, has launched his own sports website and says a second site devoted to sports betting is coming soon, according to a story in the Houston Chronicle.
The new website, www.Gallerysports.com, focuses on professional and college sports teams in Texas and Louisiana, and features the work of three former Chronicle sports writers. The Chronicle story said McIngvale has been promoting the site on social media “with the same gusto he uses to hawk furniture.”
McIngvale told the Chronicle he hopes the site will help draw more customers to Gallery Furniture, and the story noted the site had only one advertiser thus far – Gallery Furniture.
No date was given for the launch of the sports betting site.
