Upholstery veteran Alex Reeves Named President of Craftmaster

Veteran upholstery executive Alex Reeves, most recently the president of Sam Moore Furniture, has been named president of Craftmaster Furniture.

Reeves is replacing the retiring Roy Calcagne, who will remain with Craftmaster as CEO through the end of the year.

Reeves is returning to the company where he spent 11 years as senior vice president of sales and merchandising. He has a total of 35 years’ experience as an executive with several upholstery manufacturers and had been Sam Moore president since 2019.

“Alex returns to Craftmaster bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to lead the company into the future,” said Calcagne. “He understands the position Craftmaster holds in the marketplace as a moderate to upper moderate custom order manufacturer known for producing high quality and fashion forward products. His background in sales and merchandising will enable the company to continue to grow.”

Reeves said he is “very happy to be back at Craftmaster, where I spent many years leading sales and merchandising.”

“I admire the management team and the culture that has been created and I look forward to contributing to the future growth and success of this great company,” he added.

Calcagne, who has been Craftmaster’s president and CEO since 2006, is retiring after a 41-year career in the furniture industry.
