Upholstery, case goods and bedding resource Klaussner Home Furnishings, has promoted Chief Financial Officer David Cybulski to president and CEO. Cybulski, who has served as chief financial officer since 2019, has served as interim CEO since July following the retirement of Terry McNew.
During his initial three years at Klaussner, Cybulski focused on strengthening the company’s financial performance and working closely with operations to increase throughput while improving quality. He also played a key role in helping Klaussner navigate challenges presented by the pandemic and the related supply chain disruptions.
“I joined Klaussner in 2019 based on its respected brand image, strong dealer network and domestic manufacturing capabilities. In my new role as CEO, I look forward to working with our leadership team, dealers and suppliers as we continue to build on Klaussner’s legacy of innovation and customer service,” said Cybulski. “We have unique opportunities to leverage our strengths in custom upholstery and U.S. based vertical manufacturing, while developing on-trend products to generate growth opportunities with existing and new channel partners.”
No replacement has been named for the chief financial officer’s post.
Prior to joining Klaussner, Cybulski served in a variety of leadership roles across various industries with a focus on manufacturing. His experience includes 10 years as chief financial officer of Lenze Americas Corporation, a developer and manufacturer of automated factory solutions, and served as vice president at both Kaz Inc. (now Helen of Troy) and EMD Serono.
Cybulski received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Hartford and his MBA in finance from Bryant University.
