Marty Melcher Joins Legends Furniture & In2Rest as VP of Sales-Bedding

Legends Furniture and sister company In2Rest have announced the appointment of Marty Melcher to vice president of sales-bedding. The success of the company’s Remedy Sleep line and its “just in time” manufacturing process has created opportunity for growth.
Melcher has been in the bedding industry for over 25 years and has been the vice president of sales for both Serta Simmons and King Koil and has extensive experience in consulting. He will be working with the Legends/In2Rest Team and Legends Reps to accelerate the growth of the company’s bedding division and help set a new standard in the bedding industry.
Prior to joining Legends/In2Rest, he was regional vice president of sales over the Pacific Northwest and Rocky Mountain States responsible for Sales development and growth of existing dealers at King Koil. He’s also spent 28 years with Serta Simmons Bedding, where he held several senior sales positions. Most recently, he was vice president of sales, where he led the company’s marketing program designed to boost advertising return for the company’s retail network.
He joined Serta in 1991 as a territory manager for central California, in 1997 became district sales manager in Southeast Texas and was later promoted to vice president of sales for New England. During his time with the company, Melcher also held the positions of group vice president of sales and vice president of sales for industry buying groups.
Melcher will attend the Las Vegas Market July 22-26, 2022, where he will be available in the Legends / In2Rest showroom A646.
