CDG Announces Ambiente Modern Furniture as Newest Member

The Contemporary Design Group, a national association of independent home furnishings showrooms, specializing in modern and contemporary design, has announced the addition of its newest retailer member, Ambiente Modern Furniture. has been in business since 1996 and has two showrooms with 22,000 sq ft. of selling space.
The company had its origins as a Scandinavian furniture store in 1996 but now carries product from all over the world, including Italy, Germany, Norway, Denmark, and the United States and has two showrooms with 22,000 sq ft. of selling space.
Ambiente is headed by Andre Haugaard as president, and his son Jasper Haugaard; who manages marketing, buying, and the Asheville showroom. The two hope to bring their product knowledge and buying power to the group. They also look forward to gaining new ideas for operations, marketing, and profitability, as well as the opportunity to learn about new suppliers and manufacturers.
“I think they have experience that will add to the combined knowledge of the group,” says Soren Thomsen, CDG Advisory Board Member and owner of TEMA Furniture in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
