Geniemode, the tech-based sourcing company for furniture, textiles and apparel, has announced its five-tiered, lifestyle brand Capiz Collection, designed by industry veteran Brett Kladney and first introduced at the Spring 2022 High Point Market.

“We have so many incredible manufacturing sources around the world, it just made sense for us to create a collection of our own,” says Amit Scharma, CEO and co-founder, Geniemode. “Plus it allows us to give other brands a glimpse of the array of customizable designs that we can create for them.”

The company, founded in India, is utilizing their manufacturing partners’ core capabilities to create an overall collection of 300-plus products in furniture, lighting, decorative accessories, textiles, rugs and more.

The Capiz Collection, like the shell it is named for, is comprised of many facets. “Creating Capiz, we focused on the artisans and their capabilities that hone in on creating comfortable, casual, transitional pieces and themes that can make anyone’s home more special,” says acclaimed designer Brett Kladney, who was brought on board for the project. “We created four differentiated collections that appeal to a broad range of people with a desire to acquire timeless pieces and enhance their environment.”

Rustic Modern is comprised of casual pieces with more suburban lifestyles in mind. Deep comfortable upholstery combined with easy-going case goods are transitional in style and blend with an array of tastes. Antique finishes, amber touches of glass and slubby, cozy cottons add warmth to a neutral, uncomplicated palette.

Shelter is inspired by the wall decoration of the Ambar Fort in Jaipur, India and veers into dark charcoal wood finishes and cotton velvet textiles to create a space that evokes solace.

Organic Sanctuary utilizes marbleizing techniques in a wide array of ceramics, linen textiles and occasional pieces that feature acacia wood. Into the earth reaching clay, jute, and organic marble that suggest the feeling of calm.

Haven was inspired by the simplicity and scale of urban lifestyles. A nod to Danish and Japanese design is felt throughout the collection that features blown glass, textural silks, simple joinery, and a palette of gray and indigo.

etc. is the fifth group of price-point driven, warehoused items designed and brought to High Point based on high designed and pieces available immediately.

Kladney, who has designed products for Pottery Barn, Bergdorf Goodman, Barneys and Bloomingdales, previewed the collection in April at the High Point Market. With each of our collections we will stimulate all of your senses!” says Kladney.
