Gold Bond Promotes Rick Zea to Senior Accountant

Independent bedding manufacturer Gold Bond has announced the promotion of Rick Zea to senior accountant. In his new role, Zea is responsible for overseeing all accounting activities, and reports to Gold Bond’s CFO Christine DeBonee.
“We’re trying to set ourselves up for the long-term,” said Robert Naboicheck, CEO. “Rick is a smart guy who came from the banking business. He knows the ins-and-outs of our business and his approach to customer service is top-notch. He is very deserving of a promotion.”
Before joining the Gold Bond family, Zea was the assistant manager of Webster Bank in Hartford, Conn. Prior to that role, he served as a financial services representative at TD Bank.
“A lot of the things I learned in the banking world are applicable to my current role, in terms of our day-to-day operations.”
“He’s done an amazing job,” said Skip Naboicheck, president of Gold Bond. “We have increased our business significantly over the last two years, and it’s been hectic, but Rick has managed that very well.”
As part of his new role, he will continue to assist the company’s social media initiatives, work to strengthen customer relationships, and implement cost-effective measures.
“He assisted with the transition of Christine in her new position and also helped with our social media initiative,” said Skip Naboicheck. “Additionally, since he made it a point to learn a lot about our products, he’s been able to assist us with customers as our business continues to increase. It’s comforting to know how much he cares, and it shows in the work that he does.”
Zea graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Central Connecticut State University in New Britain, Conn. he currently resides in Hartford.
