Samson Marketing has announced the upcoming retirement of vice president of operations Larry Cryan, after over 20 years in the position. In early May, Doug Jermyn will rejoin Samson to assume the vacated role.
“Larry’s broad knowledge of the furniture business has been a key asset of the corporation for over 20 years, and his dedication, steady hand and friendly demeanor in corporate management have been deeply appreciated by all who have had the pleasure to work with him,” said Kevin O’Connor, former CEO of Samson Marketing. “Larry has been my friend and business partner for almost 40 years. All of us at Samson Marketing wish him and his family all the best.”
Jermyn was previously with both Universal Furniture and Legacy Classic | Modern, and has most recently been with Theodore Alexander USA in the role of Vice President-Operations.
“I had the privilege of working with Doug Jermyn when I started my career with Universal Furniture 20 years ago, as well as working closely with him at Theodore Alexander for 8 years,” said Neill Robinson, chief executive officer of Legacy Classic | Modern, one of the companies in the Samson corporate portfolio. “Doug’s experience, professionalism and work ethic will be great assets for Samson Marketing, and we all welcome him back.”
Jermyn will join Samson in early May and assume full responsibilities in early July. Cryan will remain in an advisory role with the company through early July.
