Plank & Hide Expands Outdoor Footprint with Purchase of 300 South Main

Plank & Hide, a recreational and home entertainment furniture resource, has acquired outdoor furniture resource 300 South Main, and is rebranding the outdoor line as P&H Elements.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“Plank & Hide’s continued accelerated growth in the home entertainment furnishings space affords us opportunities like this. We are able to expand our indoor and outdoor product mix, create value through a wide selection of designs and appeal to a broader retail audience, said Erik Muller, founder and CEO of Plank & Hide.

Muller said 300 South Main executives and industry veterans Ken Salm and Gary Zuckerman will remain with Plank & Hide.

He said the P&H Elements line will be shown along with the rest of the Plank & Hide line during the April High Point Market in a showroom at 300 S. Main St. The Elements line also will be shown at the Casual Furniture Market, July 18-22 at Chicago’s Merchandise Mart.

“Plank & Hide presents the perfect home for our products and talents,” said Salm, the former 300 South Main president sourcing and operations executive for Plank & Hide. “Through the P&H Elements brand, we will deliver more options for buyers, at better price points, and with a similar quality standard that Plank & Hide customers enjoy today. We will continue to build and source for our larger volume buyers.”
