2022 by HFBusiness Staff in Business Strategy, Designer Weekly, Industry
The action-packed week is relevant to the entire chapter and includes virtual programming on everything from residential and commercial design to NCIDQ and designer certification, branding/press/social, portfolio reviews, a mini trade show and professional development and design industry vocabulary.
Topping off the week at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday will be Wilson’s keynote address. A lifestyle expert in eco-friendly design, sustainability and hypoallergenic issues. Wilson has just launched a new branded Clean Design Home Martex line of robes, towels, pillows, comforters, mattress pads, pillow/mattress protectors at Macy’s and other retailers.
“We’re honored to have a keynote by Robin Wilson. She is a pioneer in creating environmentally friendly, hypoallergenic interiors and products,” said Jeffery McCullough, Adjunct Professor at Berkeley College and Parsons School of Design and chair of the Student Affairs Committee for the Chapter. “She has a lot to share about the important issues of a healthy home and sustainability that are so vital to the industry.”
“My Clean Design protocol was born out of a personal journey of allergies and asthma and over the years has become much more,” said Wilson. “Eco-healthy design is so relevant in today’s world with one in four Americans suffering from asthma or allergies and the growing consciousness of how our homes effect our health and how sustainable design makes for a better future.”
