First Lady Picks LA Designer Mark Sikes to Refurbish White House Office

First Lady Jill Biden has hired Los Angeles Designer Mark Sikes to refurbish and redecorate her East Wing office, according to Town and Country magazine and several other media reports.

Sikes, who is best known for his home renovations and movie set designs in Southern California, is the first designer to be publicly announced as working with the First Family, and it wasn’t immediately clear if he also would be involved in redecorating the private White House residents, according to Town and Country.

“I’m so excited to announce and share that I will be working with First Lady Jill Biden to refresh and redecorate her East Wing Office. This is an honor of a lifetime and I am both humbled and thrilled. To create beauty has always been my passion and I’ve also come to realize it’s my purpose. Thank you to The First Lady, her team and to those who came before her and those still to come,” Sikes said in an Instagram post.
