Raymour & Flanigan Acquires Taft Furniture

Top 100 retailer Raymour & Flanigan has acquired Taft Furniture, a two-store retailer based in Albany, N.Y.
According to local media reports and Raymour & Flanigan’s website, the stores are being converted to Raymour & Flanigan locations. One former Taft store in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., will be a full-service Raymour & Flanigan showroom, while the Albany store will become an outlet store and delivery facility.
Raymour & Flanigan has three other stores in the Albany area.
“After nearly five decades in business, it has been our honor and privilege to serve the Capital Region, and it was an easy choice to choose to sell the business to Raymour & Flanigan,” Taft Furniture said in a statement to the Saratogian newspaper. “Our goal has always been to loyally serve our customers through superior service, and Raymour & Flanigan has demonstrated a passion and dedication to that same goal. As we transition our business to Raymour & Flanigan, we thank our loyal customers for shopping with us, and know that they are in great hands going forward.”
Seth Goldberg, president of Raymour & Flanigan, told the Saratogian the retailer would “continue the tradition of providing an exceptional shopping experience to each and every guest.”
