GhostBed Rates in Reader’s Digest Best Cooling Mattress List

GhostBed, an online mattress retailer and manufacturer of boxed beds, has announced its GhostBed Luxe was recently rated the best cooling mattress for back sleepers by Reader’s Digest. The magazine sought advice from sleep and bedding experts and cross-referenced them with user reviews to devise a list of the 11 best cooling mattresses.

Coined “the coolest bed in the world” by GhostBed, the 13-inch GhostBed Luxe incorporates seven layers of cooling and comfort, a cool-to-the-touch quilted cover and a patent-pending core cooling technology. Manufactured with gel memory foam and the company’s exclusive Ghost Bounce foam, the upscale mattress offers a “spring-like” feel and high-density core to accommodate all types of sleepers.

“We’re honored to be named one of the best mattresses by such a highly regarded publication as Reader’s Digest,” said Alan Hirschhorn, executive vice president of GhostBed. “Our research and development team is constantly working to find the best sleep solution for all kinds of consumers. Sleeping hot is one of the most common complaints from consumers, which is why we put so much emphasis on cooling technology.”

The GhostBed Luxe’s cooling cover, known as Ghost Ice Fabric, is made with phase-changing materials, which neutralize your body heat, along with an internal Ghost Ice Layer, ensuring the sleeper is kept cool and comfortable.

While the mattresses’ unique layers promote airflow, which is ideal for back sleepers, the gel memory foam layer beneath the plush topper adapts to each person to relieve pressure points, stop motion transfer and eliminate the need to toss and turn.

The patent-pending Ghost Ice Layer, coupled with its 2-inch Ghost Bounce layer and 7.5-inch high-density support layer, also contributed to its rating. “Developed by sleep scientists, our patent-pending Ghost Ice layer transfers heat to keep the entire core of the mattress cool,” said Hirschhorn. “The Ghost Bounce layer, which is exclusively ours, is responsive like latex, yet contouring like memory foam; it’s as close as you can come to floating without leaving the ground. And the Luxe’s durable base layer provides ideal support and longevity.”
