Southerland Revamps Evolution Collection at LV Market

Continuing its focus on innovation, high-end design and creative bed builds that help its retail partners fill price gaps that differentiate the brand from its competitors, independent mattress manufacturer Southerland will introduce its newly revamped Evolution Collection at the Winter Las Vegas Market.
The next generation line, called Evolution NXT, is a luxury assortment with enhanced aesthetics. It’s also the first time Southerland will introduce a tufted bed program, which not only enhances the aesthetic but also provides additional zoned support.
Evolution NXT includes a more elevated style of quilted side panel, which gives it a distinct look that separates it from the pack. The line features an 1130 perimeter active edge five-zone support system, with profiles that range from 14.5-inches to 16-inches. The ticking includes thermo balanced cooling properties for a more comfortable sleep. Luxury foams include copper-infused viscos and copper-infused Talalay latex throughout the line.
“The relaunch of the Evolution NXT Collection offers our retail partners the opportunity to expand their assortment with an exclusive brand that appeals to a luxury consumer,” said Bryan Smith, president and chief executive officer of Southerland. “This is the first time we are offering a tufted program, which is recognized as a symbol of elegance and gives our retailer partners a springboard to introduce consumers to the new enhanced aesthetic. It’s a luxurious look and feel for their discerning consumer.”
The five-model line includes the Evolution NXT 2000, the Evolution NXT 3000 and the Evolution NXT 4000, and offers a choice of comfort feels in plush and firm. The Evolution NXT 4000 is a tufted model. The Evolution NXT 5000 is also a tufted model and is available in plush. All the beds are quilted and offer a more contemporary look with a traditional flair that appeals to today’s luxury consumer. The collection provides retailers with tremendous margin opportunities at affordable luxury price points. Prices range from $2,000 - $4,000 in queen.
Among the other offerings showcased at market will be the American Sleep line, which includes hybrids and two-sided mattresses, and the successful Signature Hybrid and ThermoBalance collections, which are made with premium materials such as copper-infused latex, gel-infused memory foam and temperature-regulating technologies that promote better sleep health. Also on display will be Southerland’s adjustable bed bases, including its one-piece king.
