Corey Damen Jenkins Enters Licensing Agreement with Hancock & Moore and Maitland-Smith

Hancock & Moore and Maitland-Smith have announced a new design and licensing relationship with Nationally acclaimed designer Corey Damen Jenkins.

Jenkins is an inducted member of Architectural Digest’s AD100, and in 2020, he was named to ELLE Décor’s prestigious A-List. His bold interiors have graced the front covers of House Beautiful, Traditional Home and more. He has also been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Detroit News, and Vanity Fair. His first coffee table, Design Remix: A New Spin on Traditional Rooms (Rizzoli), was released worldwide in March 2021.

The first collection with Hancock & Moore and Maitland-Smith will launch in October 2022 at the High Point Furniture Market.

The new collection will feature 20-25 styles from sofas, chairs, bar stools, an executive office chair, settee, occasional tables, desk, dining chairs, bar cabinet and more.

When asked what this collaboration means to him, Jenkins replied, “It is such an incredible honor and joy to be partnering with Maitland-Smith and Hancock & Moore – two of the most iconic and time-tested brands in the industry. We’re pushing some boundaries in design that will visually articulate the point where modernity and antiquity meet, while celebrating the quality and craftsmanship these brands are revered for. I’m thrilled for what’s to come.

“We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Corey. He is extremely talented by equally approachable and real,” says Phil Brown, president of Hancock & Moore. “In Corey, we have a partner who has an amazing sense of design, but also an innate ability to meld traditional and modern together to create timeless classic interiors. The collection is largely inspired by Corey’s favorite pieces reimagined in ways that render them fresh and fearless.”

Federico Contigiani, general manager of Maitland-Smith added, “Corey is one of the brightest stars in today’s design firmament, and he embodies the ideal Maitland-Smith designer and customer. Having the opportunity to work together with him and his team will help us shape the future of our brand. We are excited to see this sophisticated and inspiring collection come to life at the October High Point Furniture Market.”
