Smith Leonard Names Patrick Willis as News Partner

Willis began his career with Smith Leonard and continually strives to proactively address clients’ tax compliance and advisory needs in a holistic manner, deriving context from the past, addressing increasing complexities in the present, and prioritizing goal management and wealth preservation as we press forward into the future.

A native of western North Carolina, he now lives in Greensboro with his wife Shannon and their three children, with whom they enjoy traveling, hiking, and exploring life’s unending adventures. Willis is also an avid reader, focusing primarily on U.S. history, as well as current events, deciphering how cultural, political, and socioeconomic dynamics continue to shape tax policy. He is a member of the UNC Greensboro Department of Finance and Accounting Advisory Council and a member of the 2021 class of the BDO Alliance Leadership Development Program.
