Eclipse Launches Fieldcrest Mattress Line at JC Penney

Following its partnership with Iconix Brand Group earlier this year, mattress manufacturer, Eclipse International, has launched an exclusive luxury mattress line at JC Penney under the Fieldcrest moniker. The collection will be on retail floors and online.

“Fieldcrest is one of the most recognizable names in home textiles in the nation, having a special place in the hearts and minds of consumers homes for more than 125 years,” said Stuart Carlitz, president and chief executive officer of Eclipse International. “Our strategic and exclusive partnership with Iconix allows us to bring quality, American-made craftsmanship to consumers across the country.”

The Fieldcrest Luxury Mattress collection will include eight models that are free of harmful chemicals and use sustainably sourced materials including GOTS certified organic wool and cotton, all-natural Talalay latex and recycled steel coils. Each mattress cover will also be treated with the company’s Eclipse Guard™ botanical antimicrobial treatment which is 100% natural and inhibits the growth of bacteria, mold and mildew; together with the organic cotton providing a safe and clean sleep surface.

“Through our omni-channel strategy, we are not only able to reach consumers in store but are now able to reach thousands of consumers nationwide by tapping into JC Penney’s massive online presence,” Carlitz added.

Retail pricing for the new mattress line will be in the middle to upper ranges, from $1,199 to $2,499 in queen. In addition to the new mattress line, Fieldcrest is also expanding their product offerings into all categories of home furnishings.

The Fieldcrest label has been on the market since 1893, when Fieldcrest Mills was founded in Spray, North Carolina. Throughout the 20th century, Fieldcrest grew to become one of the largest producers of bedroom textiles, bath towels and small home goods in the U.S. Iconix acquired the brand in 2007, and since then, the company has maintained Fieldcrest’s position as a quality name brand of textile products.

Iconix Brand Group is an American brand management company that licenses brands to retailers and manufacturers primarily in the apparel, footwear, apparel accessory industries and home goods. Some of its most recognizable brands include London Fog, Cannon Mills, Fieldcrest, Joe Boxer and many more.
