Storis Releases Version 10.6, Enhances Logistics & Fulfillment Tools

Retail software provider Storis has released version 10.6 of its popular software platform, adding tools to help retailers better manage inventory and dynamic fulfillments and meet on-going challenges.

Last Fall, the company released View and Manage Open Order Lines (VAMOOL) as a one-stop-shop for retailers to proactively manage inventory procurement challenges. To further improve the flexibility of this tool, new enhancements have been made in 10.6.

The grid view now displays two customer types, Fulfillment Customer and Billing Customer, to assist retailers with managing orders based on the Fulfillment Customer, on those occasions where they may differ. The option to include ASAP and Customer Will Call (CWC) fulfillments is now added for retailers to select order items by a desired order date range. Lastly, retailers can now more easily manage unscheduled quantities for fulfilling these orders, with the introduction of new Unscheduled selection, display, and filtering options.

Another new tool is Schedule Fulfillments by Customer. With this comprehensive tool, retailers can review all Fulfillments for a single customer across any of their sales orders, returns, and exchanges. The retailer can flexibly reschedule and consolidate Fulfillments going to the same delivery route. In addition to the convenience in managing the current state of logistics, this tool greatly improves efficiency when managing builder, contractor, or designer accounts.

Several more logistical features help retailers streamline their processes. First, retailers can choose to limit the number of overall fulfillments on an order to control their delivery costs.

Next, retailers can use new Product & Route Settings to automatically identify products or routes as Parcel. A product can be restricted to parcel or have the flexibility to be scheduled on a regular delivery route. Products whose route type is flexible will default to match the preferred method of the other products on the order, to reduce fulfillments.

Another feature allows order lines to be easily converted to a Drop Shipment during the checkout process.

Finally, a new “Consolidate Purchase Orders” tool allows retailers to review all pending POs by various criteria to provide an easier method for consolidating purchase orders that are automatically generated for varying processing reasons, such as special orders. Retailers can now review all of their pending POs by specified criteria, such as the vendor, and consolidate multiple POs to a single Purchase Order. This enables retailers to take advantage of quantity discounts or freight incentives more often.
