City Furniture Named #1 Green Fleet in America

Home furnishings retailer City Furniture was named the #1 Green Fleet in America during the Green Fleet Awards 2021, presented by NAFA Fleet Management Association.
Jumping an impressive 23 spots from number 24 in 2020, the company’s ongoing green initiatives helped to secure a tie for first place with the City and County of Denver in the number one position.
Over the last year, City Furniture has reduced the amount of vehicles within the fleet that did not run on alternative fuels, opened and commenced construction on brand new compressed natural Gas (CNG) stations at all of their Distribution Centers across the state of Florida, improved Fleet Maintenance across the board with a best in class readiness rate of 97%, and collaborated with Peterbilt, an environmental innovator, to develop a dedicated CNG fueled Medium Duty Delivery Truck.
These ongoing improvements within the company’s fleet all contribute to the company’s 2040 Green Promise, a pledge to be carbon neutral in their showrooms, warehouses, and corporate offices by 2040.
