Jo Ann Miller Marshall Joins DMC as SVP, Leasing

Dallas Market Center has announced Jo Ann Miller Marshall as senior vice president of leasing – temporary home & gift, beginning Oct. 4.

Miller Marshall is responsible for the strategic merchandising, prospecting, and leasing of the Temps marketplace during Total Home & Gift Markets. She reports directly to Cindy Morris, president and CEO.

The Temps at Total Home & Gift Market encompass five distinct neighborhoods across more than 1 million square feet and includes leading brands of gifts, home décor, tabletop, holiday/floral, gourmet, paper, and fashion.

Recent tradeshows in Dallas, including Total Home & Gift Markets, have been the largest and most active B2B trade events in North America. Attendance has expanded significantly including a record number of new buyers, major stores, and independent retailers from all 50 states.

“Jo Ann brings unmatched experience, leadership, and vision to our company. She will immediately build upon our momentum as a marketplace delivering top buyers and brands,” said Cindy Morris, president and CEO of Dallas Market Center. “Reps and manufacturers know that shows in Dallas are the best opportunity to capture new business in 2022, so we welcome Jo Ann to the team and look forward to benefiting from her expertise.”

For more than 25 years, Miller Marshall served in leadership roles with AmericasMart Atlanta, including executive vice president of tradeshows for the marketplace. Most recently, Miller Marshall was EVP and president of Trade Shows for International Market Centers where she oversaw trade show sales and leadership for Atlanta Gift & Home Markets, Atlanta Apparel Markets, LightFair International, High Point Furniture Markets, and Las Vegas Gift & Home Markets.

“I’m pleased to join a family-owned company with bedrock values including a total commitment to the customer,” said Miller Marshall. “Dallas Market Center is thriving as a center of commerce and inspiration, and I look forward to capitalizing on its momentum to create even more value for brands and the buyers we serve.”

Miller Marshall is supported by a team of leasing, buyer delivery, and marketing experts with deep experience and success in the midst of challenging tradeshow conditions. In 2020-2021, Dallas Market Center held a full calendar of in-person events that served tens of thousands of buyers from coast to coast while balancing good health with good business. The number of new buyer applications for Dallas Market Center is up 50% compared with 2019 and attendance is also ahead of 2019.
