Windward Design Group Names Charles Emmons as EVP, Sales and Marketing

Sarasota, Fla.-based Windward Design Group has announced that casual industry veteran, Charles Emmons, has joined the company as executive vice president of sales and marketing.
In addition to his responsibilities leading the sales and marketing efforts, Emmons will join the executive team headed by Chief Information Officer Rachel Peace, to carry out the long-term growth mission of the company.
“Charlie is an exceptional leader and a consummate professional with immense knowledge of the casual furnishings category,” said Rachel Peace, CIO, Windward Design Group. “He has proven to be a strategic thinker, respected leader and cultivator of relationships with not only retail partners, but independent representative teams as well. He will be invaluable to our organization as we build upon previous success and look to advance our growth agenda.”
Emmons has held management positions within the casual industry for over 25 years; working in both retail and wholesale. Immediately prior to joining Windward Design Group, he served as Vice President and CMO for Cast Classics. His experience includes sales and marketing, team building, product development, and customer centric relationship building.
