Mlily USA Expands Design & Product Development Team

Mattress manufacturer Mlily USA is expanding its design and product development team to continue to drive innovation throughout the company’s broad portfolio of sleep products.

Under the leadership of Nairi Gharibian, a seasoned product design executive from the consumer-packaged goods industry, the company has expanded its team with four highly experienced designers who will focus on graphic design, product design, photography, videography and web design.

Leaning on her consumer-packaged goods experience as design manager for Munchkin a manufacturer of infant and toddler products Gharibian oversees the Mlily USA team of cross-disciplinary designers, mentoring them through design and development of new products and services to meet consumer needs.

Prior to her time at Munchkin, Gharibian worked at Nike and Disney designing footwear.

“We’re very fortunate to have Nairi continue to build and grow our design team,” said Stephen Chen, president. “She is a highly experienced product design specialist with the skills and knowledge we need to continue to develop high tech products that result in high quality sleep. Her experience from outside the industry has proven to be extremely successful as Nairi has applied her experience in designing youth products to help with the development of our recently launched Jama juvenile sleep line.

“A new product category for us, her understanding of youth consumer packaged goods has helped expand our product offering, allowing our retail partners to augment their retail floors with bright, fun youth products. We see tremendous growth opportunities in the youth segment and Nairi’s background, along with her extensive knowledge and experience in strategic design thinking and best practices, will help us continue to align our strategies to meet consumer needs not only for the youth segment, but for all sleep product categories,” Chen added. “We have many exciting new innovative products on the horizon and Nairi is the perfect leader to drive us forward as we continue with our aggressive growth trajectory.”

Gharibian says with the expansion into the youth sleep products category along with the new innovative products that are planned in the pipeline, Mlily USA is poised for growth. “This is an exciting time of growth for the company,” she said. “Being able to continue to grow our industry-leading team and help to develop strategies for not only for new products, but for our graphics, photos, videos and website will help strengthen our leadership position in the industry as we continue to find new and innovative ways to benefit our customers.”

Gharibian received a bachelor’s of science degree in product design from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. She resides in Glendale, California with her family.
