Atlanta Attachment Company (AAC), the leading supplier of sewing equipment for home furnishings manufacturers, has introduced a new border boxing machine at the recent Furniture Manufacturing Expo that was held on July 20 – 21, at the Metro Convention Center in Hickory, North Carolina, designed to improve precision and production efficiency.
The company, a division of HSM, specializes in developing controls and solutions that automate machinery to improve operator efficiency and boost quality control to transform operations on the furniture manufacturing floor.
The new border boxing machine eliminates operator time and the need for multiple machines for different sized products. The workstation features multi-needle chainstitch with two-to six-inch sewing capacity at ¼-inch increments, and folder and feed components that are easily adjustable and do not need dedicated sized machines. The Dual Puller System allows the first puller to feed the fabric through the machine while the additional roller behind the presser foot pulls at the same rate as the feed to streamline this critical process.
In addition, the machine includes a removable sliding folder assembly, which simplifies the process for threading the sewing head. An ergonomically sound foot pedal allows for flexible pedal setup and precise speed control.
“Increasing the precision of our products and offering more features is something every manufacturer is looking for today. Another aspect of our work increasingly is helping our customers find solutions to counter the labor shortages hampering the industry. This new machine certainly meets the criteria to help in both areas,” said Hank Little, president of Atlanta Attachment.
