Spring Air Reintroduces ComfortFlex Line

Mattress manufacturer Spring Air International has announced the reintroduction of its ComfortFlex line to provide a solution for retailers looking for an aggressively priced, nationally branded bedding program.

The ComfortFlex by Spring Air collection will be priced between $399 and $699 in queen and will be unveiled digitally this summer and on display during the Summer Las Vegas Market, Aug. 22-26.

The collection will feature two models – Elements, which includes three comfort choices, and Evolution, which offers four comfort choices. Each includes a firm, a plush and a Eurotop option, while Evolution will also include a pillowtop offering.

“Our new ComfortFlex collection provides our retail partners with a mattress lineup at value price points, a segment that has become increasingly important in today’s market, as raw material price hikes continue to change the landscape of retail price points for mattresses,” said Nick Bates, president of Spring Air International. “ComfortFlex is a well-known Spring Air sub-brand that provides our retail partners with an entry-level offering for value-conscious consumers looking for mattresses priced below $799, while still providing the same quality standards that we apply to all of our brands.”

The ComfortFlex brand originally made its bow in 2001. Over the last few years, the company discontinued the use of the brand to place emphasis on gaining broader national momentum for its Back Supporter, Breathe, Hope Collection, Four Seasons, Nature’s Rest and Chattam & Wells brands. With consumers shifting their attention to quality home furnishings at affordable prices, the company has identified a need to expand its brand portfolio to provide its retail partners with a line priced to appeal to value-conscious consumers.

Each Evolution mattress features a sleep surface constructed with comfort foam that is integrated inside the quilt; the Evolution firm model’s sleep surface also integrates an additional layer of firm foam inside the quilt. The layers in the Evolution beds consist of ultra-comfort foam and gel memory foam; the firm model has a third layer with a fiber support pad. The support system combines high-density comfort foam, a new Multilastic 720-coil innerspring layer, high density foam edge support rails and a base of support foam.

The sleep surface of each Elements mattress consists of comfort foam integrated inside the quilt. For the Elements Eurotop model, the comfort layer is ultra-comfort foam integrated into the upholstery, while for the plush and firm models, the comfort layer combines HD foams and a comfort bridge support pad, both integrated into the upholstery. The support system for each model is comprised of a Multilastic 720-coil innerspring layer, flex-edge support enhancements and select models include foam encasements.

Spring Air’s Las Vegas showroom is in suite 1126 of Building B of the World Market Center.
