Moe’s Home Collection Expands Licensee Program into Edmonton, Alberta

Retailer and wholesaler Moe’s Home Collection has announced the expansion of its licensee program into Edmonton, Alberta, celebrating with a grand opening on June 11.

The 10,000 square-foot store, owned and operated by Matt Singer, is located at 10930 Mayfield Rd NW in Edmonton’s Design District.

Best known for its modern furniture and home décor, Moe’s Home Edmonton will house furniture and lifestyle products across all categories and design styles, including Scandinavian, modern, mid-century, contemporary, industrial, art deco, and retro varieties. The Edmonton showroom will be the sixth location across Canada, including the headquarters, licensee stores, and warehouses in Vancouver, Coquitlam, Victoria, and Delta, British Columbia, and the Toronto location.

“We’re delighted to be opening a new store in Edmonton and partnering with Matt and his team. Alongside their energy and longstanding experience in the retail world, we’re sure the store will be a success. The brand has an enthusiastic following in the city already. Now we have an outlet for customers to touch, feel and envision the products in their homes,” Sara Samieian, co-CEO Moe’s Home Collection.

With 25 years of retail behind him and an additional furniture store within the same complex, Singer and his team are anticipating the fresh spin Moe’s Home’s product assortment and aesthetics will have on the local design- seeking community. For those who’ve never had the pleasure to travel to Edmonton, Canada, the headlines are either emboldening the local arts and culture scene, the latest and greatest eats, sporting triumphs, or the expansiveness of nature’s beauty that exists all around this busy city.

“Things are always happening here in Edmonton whether they be design & art-driven, music, or sports, it’s a vibrant city that appreciates its culture. Our showroom is in an area we’re debuting as the Design District. With 12 other retailers in the furniture and design business here, we are all really excited to see this area come to life as the community continues to grow,” said Singer, Moe’s Home Licensee owner and operator.

Conveniently located on a large retail corridor that runs from West Edmonton Mall, Moe’s Home is just 10 minutes from the downtown core, Rogers Place Arena & the Ice District, a large mixed-use sports and entertainment area. As one of Canada’s fastest-growing cities, the latest designs and product direction that the brand is taking is sure to attract the young, dynamic, and diverse generations with its trendsetting, attainable furniture and home goods.

“Moe’s truly addresses what today’s household is after. People know exactly what they want and how the brand positions itself in the market as utterly design-driven – that’s what I wanted to be a part of. From the designs and product direction to their homegrown Canadian appeal, business model, and the fact that their entire team moved at rocket speed to get things off the ground – it’s been a wonderful experience working with such a fun, energetic, and creative company filled with dynamic people. I am thrilled about this partnership,” added Singer.
