Steve Silver Company Taps Luke Silver as President

Casegoods and upholstery resource Steve Silver Company has promoted Purchasing Director Luke Silver to the role of president for the omnichannel furniture distributor.

In this new role, Silver will oversee all sales, marketing and purchasing operations for the company.

Silver joined Steve Silver Company in 2012 after graduating from Oklahoma State University where he wrestled collegiately. He led the China office for six years, directing the product development for the country. In 2018, Silver moved back stateside to lead the purchasing and product development efforts for the entire company.

“Luke has brought great leadership to our product development team and spearheaded the development of some of our best sellers over the last few years,” commented Steve Silver, CEO of Steve Silver Company. “He brings a new generation sensibility to product design and management that will lead us into the future.”

The company also announced that Steve Silver has transitioned to the role of chief executive officer of the company he founded in 1983. In his new role as CEO, Steve will be responsible for the strategic direction of the company and the day-to-day operations of the warehouse. This change was necessitated by the unexpected passing of Norman Preskitt, Sr. in February who formerly served in this role.
