Norwalk Furniture has announced it will debut two new sectional sofas and expand several of its best-selling seating silhouettes with additional sectional configurations at the upcoming June High Point Market.
New pieces include the Paris Sectional, which offers an assortment of uniquely shaped modular pieces that can be configured for a wide variety of interiors and the Harrison Sectional, a “California casual” addition to Norwalk’s designer collection by Kim Salmela. Adding sectional functionality to some of the company’s best-selling styles, the Metro Sectional will be expanded to include additional curved configurations and the Milford Sectional will gain additional functionality with a new “add-an-arm” option, which provides a convenient surface for users in the middle seats to store their drinks and charge their devices.
“This is the ‘season of the Netflix sectional,’ said Caroline Hipple, president of Norwalk Furniture. “Our sales for sectionals have sky-rocketed as families are spending more time together at home – perhaps bingeing the latest Netflix series – and have the need for additional seating. In addition to the growing demand for sectionals in general, we’re also seeing more interest in larger-scale sectionals and larger ottomans. With this in mind, our new and expanded sectional and ottoman offerings this Market provide multiple configurations, making them ideal for any room size or shape.”
Inspired by a trip to its namesake, the Paris Sectional features a variety of comfortable modular pieces, as well as chaises and extension pieces. With shapes unlike any other sectionals in Norwalk’s upholstery collection, it can be configured in a nearly endless number of silhouettes – while making a design statement in the process. With comfortable loose back pillows and supportive attached seat cushions, it will make its debut in a designer boucle fabric at Market and is available in 800 fabrics.
Long, low, and comfortable, the Harrison Sofa and Sectional feature soft track arms and feather and down back and seat cushions. Adding to Norwalk’s growing collection by Kim Salmela, the group is available as a grand 106-inch sofa, as well as several sectional configurations. It is also offered in 800 different fabrics.
In addition to the new silhouettes, the company is expanding the functionality of its best-selling Milford Sectional with its new “add-an-arm” feature, which allows consumers to add an arm piece to the middle of a sectional where it is normally nonexistent. This additional functionality allows people sitting in the middle to charge their devices through a USB port, or put their drink down without access to an end-table. In addition, the company’s popular Metro Sectional has been expanded to include additional curved pieces, broadening the scale and configurations of the best-selling silhouette.
The new larger sectionals will be accompanied by several larger ottomans in the showroom, providing the perfect pairing for a fully functional living space.
The items will be on display in Norwalk Furniture’s showroom in IHFC – M108, during the High Point Market.
