Humanscale, a leading designer and manufacturer of high-performance ergonomic office furniture, has announced Walther van Stipriaan as its new chief financial officer.
Van Stipriaan joins the company from Stanley Black & Decker where he served as chief financial officer, global supply management. He also brings significant experience from his time at GE, where he spent eleven years rising the ranks to various global financial leadership roles stationed in Europe and the U.S.
"What Humanscale has achieved over the last 30+ years, including their focus on going above and beyond for environmental sustainability and bringing wellness to the workplace, is incredibly impressive,” says van Stipriaan. “It is an honor to join the Humanscale family and continue to drive financial and operational excellence throughout the organization to even better serve our customers.”
Working directly with Humanscale Founder & CEO, Bob King, van Stipriaan will play an integral role in capitalizing on Humanscale’s recent success in the residential market as companies prepare to embrace hybrid working for the foreseeable future. Humanscale also remains focused on innovation and organic growth by leaning into new verticals with strategic partnerships and challenging the status quo with an ever-expanding portfolio of products that give back to the environment in more ways than one. Van Stipriaan’s wealth of knowledge and experience from these world-class organizations will help propel Humanscale forward and improve the performance of all Humanscale teams to better serve clients and customers.
Van Stipriaan assumed responsibilities on April 13 and will work closely with former CFO Michele Gerards in this period of transition.
