Sunpan, a resource for transitional and contemporary furniture, has announced it will be a Sapphire sponsor of The Kaleidoscope Project; a designer showhouse venture showcasing BIPOC designers.
The Kaleidoscope Project has tasked a group of 21 designers to transform the Cornell Inn in the historical community of Lenox, Massachusetts. The initiative aims to create welcoming and inclusive spaces that will reflect a broader design narrative.
Through the Sapphire sponsorship, designers received product donations and subsidies, granting them access to Sunpan’s newest and bestselling designs. An additional monetary donation was also granted to The Kaleidoscope Project to provide scholarships to the BIPOC community interested in pursuing a career in the arts and design industry.
“It was important for Sunpan to participate in the Kaleidoscope Project because it is an amazing opportunity to help highlight and support the creative talents of the BIPOC community within our industry,” said Sumer Morad, marketing manager. “By supporting this project, we are not only able to present our latest pieces in a beautifully redesigned historical space, but also reinvest into the very community that has helped us become successful over the years.”
Designers were tasked with redesigning the Cornell Inn with the tenets of Rest, Reflection, and Rejuvenate, to be interpreted through a color scheme encompassing neutrals (Rest), cool tones (Reflection), and warm tones (Rejuvenate).
The renovated Cornell Inn will be revealed on Saturday, May 15, 2021.
