Maiden Home Introduces 4 New Designs in Spring 2021 Collection

Luxury design studio Maiden Home has announced the addition of four new designs to its portfolio. The brand’s Spring 2021 Collection speaks to Californian sensibilities – relaxed and versatile designs with elevated textures that blend the line between the indoors and out.

Historically known for their custom upholstered pieces in materials like boucle and velvet, Maiden Home’s Spring Collection is all about simple forms and earthy woods: from their first ever case good piece (nesting tables) to a wood platform sofa available in signature West Coast finishes like driftwood and ash.

The collection is a return home for visionary + founder Nidhi Kapur, who grew up in California – each new introduction is named after a natural destination on the golden coast. "As a native Californian, home was never defined by the four walls I lived within – natural beauty was a constant in my surroundings, and it remains a strong source of inspiration to me to this day. Our Spring collection celebrates the beauty of natural materials in their simplest, truest form," shares Kapur.

It’s also a return to learning and exploration for the brand, who leaned on their artisan partners in creating the wood-forward designs. Maiden Home utilized new techniques and finishes, electing to have each piece finished by hand instead of machine – a true celebration of slow design and the handmade.

Along with the collection, the company is rolling out new upholstery materials as well: four colorways of Nubuck leather – Tide, Sail, Fawn + Asphalt – and a seasonless shearling in a warm camel color.

In short, the collection embodies the spirit of California design – lighthearted, perennially cool and centered around togetherness within the home. Every Maiden Home piece is digitally customizable, designed in New York City and handcrafted by artisans in North Carolina.
