Riverside Furniture Names Harrison Kelly as VP of Product Development

Casegoods supplier Riverside Furniture has announced that Harrison Kelly, who has over 20 years of experience in wood furniture product development, has joined the company in the new position of vice president of product development.

In his role, Kelly will be responsible for leading all product line activities from the conceptual stage through market introduction. In addition, he will work closely with strategic retail accounts in determining product needs.

Most recently, Kelly served in the same position for Klaussner Furniture International where he was responsible for all wood product development. Prior to joining Klaussner, he served in various positions at Home Meridian International, where he started as an import engineer at Pulaski and went on to hold roles such as vice president of club merchandising for Home Meridian and 14 years as vice president of product development and merchandising at Pulaski.

Kelly “brings experience and a proven track record of success in the product development area, which will be invaluable in meeting our goals and objectives,” said John Iasiello, president of Riverside. “I’m confident that he will be an excellent match for this key executive role and be a solid asset to Riverside. His character, integrity and respect for others are admired in the industry. He will add value to the Riverside team and our customers, and his leadership style fits perfectly with our culture of collaboration and team building.”

Kelly, who reports to Iasiello, will be based in the company’s new High Point Showroom and Product Development Center on Main St. in High Point.

“I’m honored to work with a great company like Riverside and look forward to a successful future with this great team,” said Kelly, a graduate from Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, VA with a degree in Civil Engineering and served as an officer in the US Army Reserve.
