GhostBed, online mattress retailer and manufacturer of boxed beds, has introduced the All-In-One Foundation, a 100-percent metal base which combines a bed frame, a box spring and customizable headboard brackets into one foldable, easy-to-assemble product.
The company said the new foundation gives consumers the ability to carry away a foldable metal foundation in a small manageable box giving retailers and consumers the ability to add the foundation to their order at the same time as they purchase their GhostBed mattress.
“Retailers can offer the GhostBed All-In-One Foundation as a take with item for consumers who purchase a bed in a box, and because it’s foldable, they can slip it into the front seat of their car.” said Alan Hirschhorn, executive vice president of sales for GhostBed. “The GhostBed All-In-One Foundation easily fits into a 40” by 10”-inch box, a sixteenth of the size of a fully assembled foundation, in a Queen size that would be 60” by 80”. It’s not only an affordable alternative to traditional wooden foundations but is much stronger and probably one of the easiest for consumers to assemble.”
The new foundation is truly an All-in-One having and all-metal construction, 9-two-piece legs, a beautiful cover and headboard brackets all in one box. It is designed to hold up to 2,000 pounds, ensuring long-term durability, and when assembled, the 2-piece leg can be set at 3” or 6” off the floor and customers who want additional underbed storage can purchase additional legs to set the height to 9 inches or 12 inches. It comes with five pieces plus slats and is designed to be assembled in approximately 15 minutes. The pieces are clearly marked, and GhostBed has a QR code linked to an assembly video making setting up the foundation even easier.
The All-In-One’s all-metal design provides a further draw to consumers. “Traditional Wood Foundations are bulky, difficult to handle, sometimes impossible to fit upstairs or around corners. Wood also can squeak and warp and just break under pressure. Many consumers choose not to purchase a new foundation because it’s big and difficult, our All-In-One is easy and we believe once a consumer see its compact size and the ease of set up, they will pick one up and take it home.” Hirschhorn said.” We decided to go with an all-metal foundation because we wanted a product that would enhance the look of the bedroom at a sharper price, gives the consumer the versatility to have any height they need and headboard brackets included to attach their headboard all out of one box.” The All-In-One is priced to retail at $299 for queen size, compared to foundations that are priced at $400 or more.
The new Foundation comes packaged with a gray slip-on cover that gives the foundation a high-end upholstered look making the need for some of those old, outdated clunky wood beds a thing of the past.
