From Home Furnishing Business
Roy Morgan to Keynote High Point Furniture Fellowship Breakfast
April 30,
2021 by Laurie Northington in Business Strategy, Industry
The industry prayer breakfast tradition will resume after the cancellation last year of the April 2020 Market, which marked the first time in 27 years that the breakfast had not been held. Covid-19 safety protocols for indoor gatherings in the 11th floor International Home Furnishings Center Green Ballroom location will be observed.
“Doing something different” in your personal, professional, family and church life will be the message theme at the breakfast, said Morgan, who is currently the Tour Promoter for artists such as Hillsong, Hillsong Worship, Lauren Daigle, Gaither Vocal Band and the Winter Jam Tour Spectacular. “In the music business, I’ve observed that when people have the courage to implement a paradigm shift, that’s when they really have breakout success.”
“God is continually doing something different,” Morgan said, citing Isaiah 43:19: “Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?” Morgan hopes that people will leave the breakfast “challenged and encouraged to do something different than in the past in their business model, their families and their marriages. I hope I can encourage them to be innovative, to explore new ways of doing things, even if there’s a risk.”
Industry professionals will present the opening and closing prayers and New Testament and Old Testament Scripture readings.
Cost of admission for the breakfast is $30.00 for an individual, which includes breakfast. General Breakfast Sponsors are: Archbold Furniture, Culp, Elements Studio, Home Meridian International, Hooker Furnishings, Karen McNeill, Patrick McNamara, Samson Marketing, Stump & Associates and Uttermost.
Reservations should be made no later than Friday, May 28 by visiting www.furniturefellowshipbreakfast.com, or send your check to Teresa Huffman, Culp, Inc. at 1823 Eastchester Dr. High Point, N.C. 27265 by May 28.
