Eclipse International has announced the signing of Verona, Mississippi-based Capital Bedding as its 80th licensee globally.
The new agreement gives Capital the rights to produce, market and distribute the Eclipse International and Eastman House brands in its neighboring southern states.
Founded in 1969, Capital Bedding is owned and run by the West family. The current president and chief executive officer is Doug West, who joined the company in 1983. Frank Paladino, who joined Capital Bedding in 2016, is vice president of sales. With over 180,000 square feet of production space, Capital is one of the largest independent mattress and healthcare mattress manufacturers in the south.
“We are experiencing high demand for our products all around the United States and Capital will be a great partner helping us reach more customers in the southern part of the country. They are a well-respected independent manufacturer who will be an asset to our team,” said Stuart Carlitz, president and chief executive officer of Eclipse International. “There is strong, continued interest by independent mattress manufacturers to join our organization because we add tremendous value to their operations. We bring significant business to our licensees along with marketing and manufacturing expertise.”
Carlitz added, “Our brands are designed with unique patented features, which provide the retailers that we service a competitive edge in their markets.”
“We are delighted to come on board the Eclipse family of licensees and are looking forward to this strategic and beneficial partnership.” West said. “Over the years, Capital has established itself as one of the largest producers in the south and we realize that partnering with Eclipse, which shares our dedication to manufacturing high-quality mattresses, will lead to even greater growth for both of our companies.”
