Brian Bird Joins Malouf as New Creative Director

Utah-based bedding accessories provider Malouf has hired Brian Bird as creative director to lead its creative professionals across six teams. These teams are comprised of videographers, photographers, graphics designer and writers, as well as 3D artists, stylists, set designers and visual merchandise professionals. 

Bird’s broad background as a manager of creative teams for various industries enables him to work with a variety of creative talent, as well as external firms and freelancers.

“Our creative capabilities are our signature in the industry, and something that our partners continue to connect with,” said Scott Carr, marketing director. “Adding Brian to the mix ensures we are efficient, proactive and forward-thinking in our recommendations.”

Bird has over 25 years of experience in entertainment, finance, manufacturing and consumer goods for a number of high-profile clients, including projects for Google, Warner Bros., Ferrari World and other location-based entertainment venues. He has held roles in creative leadership at Thinkwell Group, Avery Dennison and American Funds - Capital Group Companies, where he developed expertise in brand identity and strategy, sales materials and trainings, wayfinding and exhibit design and package design.

According to Bird, “The role of creative teams at Malouf is to support retail partners by crafting compelling visual stories. Regardless of medium, we articulate our brand value by strengthening our partners ability to trust and market our products.” His position will allow the creative teams at Malouf to continue to build skill development and efficiency, so they can serve the industry with the exciting new marketing tools.

Bird also discussed the importance of fostering the breadth of capabilities at Malouf.
