AICO Promotes Salcido to Director of Marketing, Merges Ecommerce and Marketing Departments

Casegoods and upholstery resource Amini Innovation Corp. (AICO) has announced the promotion of Denise Salcido to director of marketing, merging its ecommerce division into the marketing department. Salcido had been promoted to director of ecommerce in June of 2020 and has been a key member of the AICO team for over 15 years.
“It has become more and more obvious to the retail world that on-line selling for all channels is very much a function of marketing,” said Chuck Reilly, executive vice president. “Driving quality, creative and exciting imagery as well as developing a database of content is vital in keeping today’s consumer engaged on retailer websites. Merging the ecommerce teams into marketing will establish a dynamic collaboration between the two departments and provide a sales focused approach as we develop future assets.”
“At AICO, our strategy is to help make sure our content is easily understandable on our website, as well as our customers’ on-line platforms. This is essential so we can better service today’s consumer searching for the AICO and Michael Amini brands,” stated Martin Ploy, president.
Salcido's promotion in 2020 was preceded by her selection to the 2019 Home Furnishings Business Top 40 Under 40. She also received the AICO Employee of the Year Award in 2015.
