Gold Bond Mattress has announced an uptick in demand for its luxury and organic collections as many consumers miss fine hotel bedding while Covid-19 has grounded travelers.
“In today’s market, consumers who are spending more time at home due to the pandemic are looking for better products that turn their homes into an at-home oasis that provides them with the feeling of spending time at a luxury hotel and spa,” said Robert Naboicheck, president of Gold Bond. “So, they are embracing higher-end, luxury hotel-quality bedding to upgrade their homes and indulge themselves.”
The manufacturer has seen a jump in demand for its Smart Hybrid series and its Organic Latex collection, which were designed to replicate its hotel heritage for consumers. The three-model Smart Hybrid collection features Leggett & Platt’s 1057 coil Bolsa unit with Quantum Edge coils to provide consumers an innerspring mattress that is comfortable, supportive, durable, and American-made. Retail prices for the Smart Hybrid line range from $1,999 to $2,999 for queen-sized mattresses.
“We think the Leggett & Platt’s 1057 coil Bolsa unit is the finest coil system on the market today,” said Naboicheck. “Not only is it of the highest quality, but it’s also made right here in America, which truly speaks to our brand.”
The five-model Organic Latex collection is made with organic ticking, certified organic cotton, wool and natural Talalay latex sourced from Gold Bond’s GOTS-certified vendors. Its suggested retail price ranges from $2,999 to $4,999 for queen-sized mattresses.
Naboicheck said that within a few months of the pandemic’s start they noticed increased demand for these products. Gold Bond’s long history of furnishing high-end upscale hotels and boutique inns has given it a sharp competitive edge in meeting this demand. The company has been a long-time partner with several leading resorts, casinos and high-end boutique hotels. These two lines are the consumer version of what has been produced for these luxury properties.
