Ashley HomeStore’s Hope to Dream Program Marks 10 Years of Donating Beds

Ashley HomeStore’s Hope to Dream program is celebrating its 10th anniversary this month. Since its inception in 2010, the program has donated over 110,000 beds to underserved children across the U.S. and Canada. In 2020, Hope to Dream donated a total of 8,410 beds.

To celebrate the 10th year anniversary, the non-profit organization gifted children across the nation with over 300 beds during the month of December. Hope to Dream events took place in multiple states including: a drive through style bed donation in Florida, a day with Santa Claus in California, a parade on the street in Nashville, Tennessee and Ashley HomeStore events in Georgia. Each of the recipients at these events was provided with a brand-new Ashley Sleep bed, including: a twin mattress, bed frame, sheets, pillow and comforter.

“This anniversary is a milestone none of us envisioned when we started this initiative. The growth of the Hope to Dream program these last ten years has been tremendous and we are so thrilled to be able to continue bringing underserved children beds of their own,” said Ben Thorud, president, Hope to Dream. “We’ve heard of many children and families affected by the coronavirus pandemic this year; it feels really great to be able to surprise these deserving individuals just in time for Christmas.”

Hope to Dream was founded in 2010 on the guiding principle that every child deserves a good night’s sleep. A portion of the proceeds for every mattress purchased at a participating Ashley HomeStore in the U.S. and Canada helps pay for a bed for an underserved child. Over 560 Ashley HomeStores participate in the program to date.
