High Point First Tuesday Adds March Dates

The committee for High Point’s First Tuesday has announced the additional dates of March 2 – 4 to its schedule. Originally supporting the High Point Pre-Market scheduled dates, this new additional date is in response to the reschedule of all announced market changes.

“With all the announced changes of market dates, First Tuesday will continue to be an option as well as a solution for retailers and vendors to conduct business in a personalized, safe, and market ready environment showcasing new product introductions,” said Kevin Castellani Committee Member for First Tuesday. Announcing this new March date only reinforces the committee's commitment to responding to the industry needs and current market conditions.

While January and February dates have already been announced and established, this new addition to the schedule reinforces the need for opening showrooms in High Point during the year. The reality is that the pandemic concerns along with government restrictions are changing the buying behavior of our industry and creating uncertainty in the traditional markets. With new product introductions being the backbone of this industry, the disruption of market dates makes it difficult for this industry to continue engagement with consumers as well as create excitement on the retail floor. With over 100 showrooms being open every month in High Point the idea of the First Tuesday event gives the industry a platform for new product introduction, filling a void that exists today.

Furnituredealer.net a new member of the committee will be announcing a digital guide to support the shopping experience for buyers and sellers during these First Tuesday events. The guide will digitally connect buyers with open showrooms for ease of navigation while shopping for new products. More information regarding this digital guide will be coming shortly.

“Long focused on helping independent retailers and the vendors that serve that channel successfully do business together, we’re passionate about finding new ways to help drive the business forward for all,” said Emily Severson, FurnitureDealer.Net. “We’re invested in High Point and committed to this industry, and we believe First Tuesday will only continue to grow in importance.”
