High Point First Tuesday Unveils Logo and Sets January Dates

The steering committee for the High Point “First Tuesday” Event has announced a logo and direction moving forward. Based on the increased demands for home furnishings products and safety concerns surrounding covid 19 the committee has committed to several directives.
The first Tuesday Event for January will open on Jan. 5 – 7. These open dates are extended over 3 days based on the needs and requests of our retail partners. This past December there were over 85 showrooms open for retail traffic and expectations are that up to 100 showrooms will be open for the upcoming January event. All open showroom information will be presented at the entrance of each market building identifying shopping opportunities for retailers attending the event. The steering committee has each committed to showing new products and is requesting each open showroom to do the same giving validation to the event.
Understanding the safety concerns the committee is requesting each open showroom to adhere to all safety protocols put in place by the High Point Market Authority as well as the State of North Carolina. Building owners, as well as the Market Authority, have all agreed to support the event by taking additional measures to ensure visitors a safe shopping experience. The committee believes creating these smaller shopping events, once a month addresses the retailer needs for new products during this period of high consumer demand for Home Furnishings Products. These market-ready showrooms will enable buyers to shop at High Point showrooms without crowds in a personalized and customized environment.

The Committee has also approved the First Tuesday logo for promotions moving forward. The logo demonstrates the commitment and banner for this First Tuesday event. Future dates will confirm to the March pre-market and April Market dates.
The Initial vendor Members of the committee include representatives from Cheers Manwah, MW Home, Crown Mark Furniture, Jackson Furniture/Catnapper, Klaussner Home Furnishings, Kuka North America, Palliser, Sunpan, HHC, and Feizy, as well as the High Point Market Authority.
The committee gathered for the first time during the December event. Plans are to add additional members and meet in person during each future event.
