Bedding manufacturer Mlily USA has announced the acquisition of a 115,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution center in Andersonville, Tennessee, that will fulfill retail and consumer orders.
This is the company’s second warehouse in Tennessee and its fifth in the U.S. The new facility follows this summer’s announcement of its new factory in Goodyear, Arizona, set to open in January.
The company is making an aggressive push to build out its U.S. footprint to seamlessly service its quickly expanding retail network.
“Our growth plan for the next three years is ambitious, and to maintain our trajectory, we need efficient, well-run facilities to effectively manage our expansion. This facility is just the latest investment in the U.S. that will enhance our service to retailers and their customers,” said Stephen Chen, president of Mlily USA. “It’s important that we provide our customers more ways to service consumers, and the addition of this new center will allow us to operate more efficiently and improve the overall customer experience with quicker delivery.”
The distribution center will provide delivery to retailers and easy, direct-to-the-consumer drop shipping for the Mlily product line produced in its South Carolina factory, which opened last year.
The new hub replaces a storage warehouse located in Loudon, Tennessee, and offers the added benefit of 10 loading docks.
The Andersonville location will employ 25 people, including employees from the previous Loudon facility. Mlily’s other warehouses are located in Chattanooga, Tennessee; Dallas, Seattle, and Los Angeles.
