LV Design Center’s First Friday Event to Focus on Maximizing Profits for Designers

International Market Centers (IMC) announced today that the November installment of Las Vegas Design Center’s monthly “First Friday” program will address maximizing end-of-year profits for designers. Additionally, select LVDC and other World Market Center Las Vegas showrooms will participate in the Fall Sample Sale, running Nov. 11 – Nov. 13, 2020.

“The November First Friday topic is particularly relevant this year given the financial impact COVID has had,” said LVDC General Manager Cain Brodie. “Interior designers and related professionals will receive some great tips on many of the programs offered to small business, including Small Business Administration (SBA) loan benefits, Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan forgiveness, Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) loans and more.”

The November webinar, titled “Say Goodbye to 2020 and Close Out Your Books for Maximum Profits,” is presented by Lisa Jones of Campbell Jones Cohen CPAs. Subject matter will address the business side of design, diving into best practices, programs and other opportunities to maximize write offs and deductions as designers look to the end of the tax year. The session is from 10 to 11:30 a.m. (PT) on Friday, Nov. 6 and participants in this free session will receive 0.1 CEU credits. For more information and registration, go to https://imcenters.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_woPxFsTCTkyPDB0L7K0MVA.

The next “First Friday” session will be on Friday, Dec. 4.

Additionally, select LVDC and Las Vegas Market showrooms will be among the 50+ home furnishing and gift exhibitors participating in the Fall Sample Sale, which runs Wednesday, Nov. 11 to Friday, Nov. 13. World Market Center Las Vegas showrooms are open 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily, and Las Vegas Design Center showrooms, located on the first and second floors of building A, are open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. The Fall Sample Sale is open to the public and a list of participating exhibitors is available at https://www.lasvegasmarket.com/year-round/off-market-events.

“LVDC is the premier designer resource in Southern Nevada and the Southwest,” said Scott Eckman, chief revenue officer for IMC. “The Fall Sample Sale is a great last-chance opportunity for retailers looking to fill their pre-holiday needs.”
