Jamie Young Company Rebrands, Creates Portal for the Trade

Southern California-based Jamie Young Company, created by design duo and owners, Jamie Young Jeter and David Jeter, recently introduced a must-see summer collection, along with a newly improved website, logo, and tagline, “A home well-traveled”.

Expanding on who Jamie Young Company is, the front end of the new easy-to-use website (jamieyoung.com) serves purpose to provide visitors with more information about the company’s background. Here, they can explore Jamie Young’s most loved pieces, and look through a curated selection of lighting, accessories, and occasional furniture from the line, offered directly to consumers.

For industry professionals, a login portal has been created that grants access to all premier trade benefits. With a trade account login, retailers and interior designers have exclusivity to trade pricing on the entire Jamie Young Company collection. With the new option to view inventory availability also comes the ability to place online orders directly through the website. By managing one’s own trade account profile, designers can view past orders and get previews of new introductions before they are placed on the consumer site.

At this moment in time, approximately 90% of the Jamie Young Company product is in stock and ready-to-ship from their warehouse in Southern California. Among these products are newly introduced pieces from this summer. Jamie Young Company released 135 new items to their mainline collection, which contains a variety of categories, welcoming new shapes, and finishes, and adds to popular material collections such as alabaster, and ceramic. Also introduced this summer were 30 new items to Lifestyle by Jamie Young Company, a collection offering strategically priced pieces for price-sensitive projects.

This summer, Jamie Young Jeter took initiative to be better connected with customers in new virtual ways through email campaigns, social media, and a live zoom presentation, sharing inspiration behind new styles, more detailed insight on product, and also touring through her own home that showcases some eclectic techniques to using Jamie Young Co. product in different rooms.

Two of the brand’s notable new items are the Cloudscape table lamp and the Trinity table lamp.

In light of the pandemic, the brand made the difficult decision to forgo showing at High Point Market, this Fall, as they continue to focus on the health and safety of their customers and employees. Designers and retailers are invited to visit their newly revamped, user-friendly website to shop the entire collection of handcrafted pieces from the comforts of home.

Jamie Young Company was chosen by IMC for their Fall TrendWatch program, with two new items selected for this season’s trend, TOUCH POINTS. The new Concord Wall Sconce (4CONC-SCGR) is a grey plaster lighting fixture with a traditional silhouette finished with a casual texture that meets the brands coastal roots. “The new gray plaster collection is a great look that takes you from Alberto Giacometti’s 1940’s skeletal compositions with naturalistic forms and lively texture into a new modern era,” said Jamie.

Also selected for the sensory & imagination-evoking trend is the new Fringe Oval Mirror (6FRIN-OVWH), which takes woven jute to new levels in a statement-worthy, modern bohemian accent piece that offers a relaxed and refined style. “The Fringe Mirrors are super fun and on-trend with all of their texture and are selling fast already! All of our mirrors have moderate price points and are well-stocked, which makes them a great choice for your projects,” Jamie said.
