The High Point Market Authority (HPMA) has partnered with One Room Challenge to present the first-ever virtual edition of the popular six-week design event. Kicking off Oct. 7, One Room Challenge – High Point Market Edition will exclusively showcase products from High Point Market exhibitors.
Twenty Featured Designers will participate in the fall event, researching and selecting High Point Market products while creating original 3D virtual room designs. The project, process, mood boards, product selection, customization, and design discussions will be journaled by the designers via blogs and social media channels over six weeks, with finished room designs revealed on November 11.
“Given our present situation, we recognize there will be High Point Market enthusiasts who will not be able to make their biannual trek to High Point this fall, but they still long for an inspirational experience and curated introductions to all the home furnishings Market has to offer,” commented Tom Conley, president and CEO of the High Point Market Authority. “This partnership will be a valuable addition to our program offerings for the industry as a whole, regardless of whether or not circumstances will allow one to attend this October.”
Regularly focused on physical room transformations, the fall 2020 edition of One Room Challenge will be the 18th season for the program but the first time the rooms being designed will be virtual.
“Featuring a virtual design focus for the fall 2020 edition aligns perfectly with the growing e-design trends we’re seeing within the industry. It’s a popular addition amongst the services an interior designer offers these days, and the technology has greatly improved,” commented Linda Weinstein, founder of One Room Challenge. “Partnering with the High Point Market Authority was also a natural fit for this program, given the expansive product offerings and customization options designers can access in High Point, in addition to Market’s expansive digital reach. By combining our online reach together, we have the ability to share this fall’s inspirational projects with hundreds of thousands of viewers.”
The Featured Designers selected hail from around the United States, representing a diverse array of design aesthetics, project scopes, price points, and room selections. To see the full list of participating designers, visit www.highpointmarket.org/events/one-room-challenge.
Once the program kicks off on October 7, ongoing updates can be found each Wednesday at www.oneroomchallenge.com, on the designers’ websites, and on the social media channels for High Point Market, One Room Challenge, and the participating designers.
