Virtual Conference Offers Free Inspiration, Education to Design Community

As a digital-only world carries on into the Fall, the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) is uniting the nationwide design community online through its new Virtual Conference, Sept. 15-17, 2020.

The ASID Virtual Conference offers free education and inspiration for any and all design professionals, with programming focused on timely topics like safe solutions for COVID spaces and designing for diversity and equity.

True to the Virtual Conference's fresh format, the event will kick off with an unconventional, crowd-sourced keynote that mines the best names in design to discuss the future of "Design Impacts Lives." The Virtual Conference will also feature ASID signature programming, including:

  • The annual State of the Society address given by ASID National Board of Directors Chair Jennifer Kolstad, Assoc. AIA (Global Design Director, Ford Motor Company), ASID National Board of Directors Chair-elect Kerrie Kelly, Creative Director, Kerrie Kelly Design Lab, and ASID Interim CEO Gary Wheeler.
  • A virtual Exhibit Hall to round out the event so that attendees may interact with leading manufacturers.
  • An inspiring, final keynote on the importance of designing for happiness from Nancy L. O’Brien, Co-founder, Experience Happiness LLC.
