Coohom Unveils Video Studio, Streamlines Creation Process

Coohom, a leading 3D visualization company servicing the home furnishings industry, has launched its newest product: Video Studio.
A combination of Coohom’s floor plan, rendering engine, and templating technology, Video Studio enables brands to place a digital camera around computerized room scenes to automate the video production process.
Traditionally, furniture brands have relied on hiring videographers to create video content for distribution to their dealers or for use on their own merchandising or advertising efforts. This process is time-consuming, requires cumbersome manual set-up and teardown of scenes, and usually ultimately requires CGI editing anyway. Typical timelines for going from ideation to completed image or video visualization can take 10 weeks, a process which Coohom can shorten to under 1 day.

Coohom’s Video Studio operates as an extension to its existing Photo Studio product. Photo Studio is a way to drop a 3D product into a templated room design (built with Coohom’s Floor Planner), which can then be shot from every angle. With Video Studio, companies can use the same templated space, but with the added functionality of placing a video camera into the scene to move along a designed path through the room. Brands can set a curve, straight, or motion lens, and also set the height, direction, and more to simulate a real-life video shoot. A preview window while directing the video allows users to perfect their set-up before rendering it into a video perfected for lighting and realism.
Today, leading brands like Legends Furniture and Emerald Home are using Coohom’s Photo and Video Studio solutions to completely forgo traditional imagery - transforming their process from weeks of tedious, physical studio shoots to mere hours.
