Precision Textiles, a supplier of coated fabrics, nonwovens and laminations for the bedding, automotive, healthcare and home furnishings industries, has donated 2,000 masks to Oasis – a non-profit organization providing services to underprivileged women and children.
Located in Paterson, N.J., Oasis’ mission is to change the lives of women and children by breaking the cycle of poverty through compassionate programs designed to feed, clothe, educate and empower those in need. Over the years, the organization’s services have grown to also include literacy, language and workforce development skills.
“As we continue to navigate through these unprecedented times, it’s important that we look out for those who are putting themselves at risk to help others. Many of us forget that there are hundreds of people, within our own communities, that are struggling,” said Scott Tesser, CEO of Precision Textiles. “As a company, it’s important to us to give back to our community. Partnering with an organization like Oasis that has such compassion for its clients is our way of giving back to the local community that we call home.”
Supporting philanthropic initiatives is a core value for Precision Textiles. Earlier this year, the company donated medical-grade encasements for all 500 beds at Englewood Hospital in Englewood, N.J., an area of the state most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“New Jersey was hit hard during the pandemic, and it is our hope that our engagement with these organizations will help our community continue to fight against the outbreak,” said Tesser.
