From Home Furnishing Business

Steven Allegrezza Joins IHFRA as Director of Digital Strategies/Marketing

The International Home Furnishings Representatives Association (IHFRA) has announced the appointment of Steven Allegrezza to the new position of director of digital strategies/marketing.

In his new role, Allegrezza will be responsible for amplifying IHFRA’s digital footprint, both internally and externally. Specifically, he will have oversight for the creation and implementation of digital events, podcasts, member training and will also work to enhance and improve IHFRA’s website, www.ihfra.org.

Allegrezza will also be heavily involved in member recruitment-- both from within the industry as well as from other sectors—member engagement and more.

Prior to joining IHFRA, Allegrezza served as director of ecommerce for upholstery major Manwah; ecommerce development coordinator for Magnussen Home Furniture; operations manager for Parker James, a division of Summer Classics Furniture and also spent a number of years as a team leader for Apple.

In 2017, Allegrezza was named to Home Furnishings Business’ prestigious Forty under 40 list, in part, for innovation and for growing Magnussen’s online business by 40%.

According to IHFRA President John Pinion IV, “While the Covid-19 pandemic has caused other entities to pull in their horns, IHFRA believes the time is right to invest in our company, bring in new talent with the tools to help us build our group and take IHFRA to new heights.”

Pinion added, “The digital landscape and all the technology associated with it is the key that will unlock the door to the independent rep’s success moving forward. Steven’s understanding of both the technology and how it factors into our business makes him the perfect choice to help our members not only survive, but to thrive in the turbulent days ahead.”

Allegrezza added, “I am thrilled at the opportunity to work with IHFRA. As someone familiar with both the supplier perspective as well as the retail perspective, I feel confident that our team can help our members not only meet their customers’ needs but anticipate them as well. Now, more than ever, the independent rep is going to be relied on to provide sound solutions to both his or her supplier and retail customer. The rep’s fluency in technology and the digital landscape will be critical to the process and my goal is make sure our members have those tools available to them.”
